During the evening and overnight the skin performs natural processes that cleanse and promote skin renewal. It is whilst you sleep that you experience the highest levels of DNA repair, cell proliferations (where new stem cells replace ageing cells). The skin also experiences it's highest temperature and skin permeability contributing to transepidermal water loss.

Melatonin, released during the night, has an anti-oxidant effect which studies suggest protect skin against damaging UV light directly and also by promoting melatonin dependant biological pathways. Shortening our time exposed to darkness reduces the release of melatonin which can contribute to the adverse effects of UV on the skin.

Methodology
1. Study Objectives
The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the performance and user satisfaction of my wrinkles midnight moisture over a 28-day period. Specific objectives included:

- Assessing user satisfaction with the product after first use and over time.
- Measuring overall user perceptions, including texture, application ease, and visual results.

2. Study Design
Type of Study: Quantitative user study with self-assessment questionnaires.
Duration: 28 days.
Product Use Protocol: Participants applied the product once daily to the target area as per provided instructions.
Sample Size: 84 participants.
Assessment Points: Participants completed self-assessment questionnaires at four intervals: after the first use, after 7 days, and after 28 days.
Participants: Women aged between 18 and 55+. Participants self-identified as peri-, post- or menopausal.
Data Analysis: Results from the self-assessment questionnaires were collected and analysed by an independent statistician.

3. Blinding Procedure
To maintain objectivity, the product was provided in lab sample containers without brand identifiers or final packaging. Participants were informed only that they were testing an anti-ageing facial moisturiser.

FAQs

Has the midnight moisturiser changed?

No! Our award-winning formula is unchanged but has been repackaged into a more sustainable pot, made from a minimum of 30% recycled plastic. We have also increased the fill size by 25%, so one pot will last you longer.

Can I use these products during the day/in the morning?

These products should be applied in the evening, as the Granactive Retinoid inclusion can make skin sensitive towards sunlight, and the Deep Sleep functional fragrance helps pave the way to a good nights sleep.

Are these suitable to use during pregnancy/breastfeeding?

Due to the inclusion of Granactive Retinoid in this product, we wouldn't recommend using it whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. We suggest my wrinkles extreme moisturiser as an alternative, which contains youth-boosting Bakuchiol.

Is this suitable for menopausal skin?

Yes, this product has been tested by peri-menopausal, menopausal, and post-menopausal women, and has been found to be effective.
