Glycerin is a colourless, odourless liquid with a very sweet taste and has literally thousands of uses. The name comes from the Greek word glykys meaning sweet. Used in skincare products for centuries due to the moisturizing propertes, helping the skin to attract and retain its own natural moisture, leaving it feeling soft. Rather than sitting on top of the skin, glycerin softens the skin while permitting it to breathe.
